  • Fever as high as 40oC, already treated as lower respiratory tract infection with moxifloxacin (6 days) with no response
  • Recent dental works
  • Medical H(x):
    • Periodontal abscess 2 months ago
    • Systemic Lupus Erythymatosus (S.L.E. – 2011) with anti-CL (+), anti-β2GPI (+) but no history of venous or arterial thrombosis
    • Aspirin, Hydroxychloroquine, Methylprednisolone

*The patient did not fulfill APS criteria (SLE + Antiphospolipid antibodies, without any evidence of previous thrombosis or obstetric complications). Thus she had not been diagnosed with APS. Antiphospolipid antibodies were identified during SLE investigation
