Jan F. Scheitz is Professor of Clinical Stroke Research at Center for Stroke Research Berlin and consultant stroke neurologist at Charité University hospital Berlin. Jan is a dedicated ‘Clinician Scientist’ and head of the Research Group ‚Integrative Kardio-Neurologie’. His major research interest is to explore the mechanisms of stroke-associated cardiac complications (Stroke-heart syndrome), and the utility of cardiac troponin levels in patients with ischemic stroke.
