Contributor biography

Ana Catarina Fonseca has a MD (2004) and a PhD (2014) in Medicine, from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Lisbon. In 2014 she completed a Masters in Public Health from the Harvard School of Public Health (USA), having previously completed two masters: in Stroke Medicine at the University Danube Krems (Austria) and in Neuroscience at the University of Lisbon. She is currently a neurology consultant at the stroke unit of the Hospital de Santa Maria in Lisbon, a researcher at the Institute of Molecular Medicine of Lisbon, and an assistant professor of pharmacology and neurology at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Lisbon.
