Guidelines & WSA

Guidelines serve as an invaluable diagnostic tool, and contain reviewed and evaluated evidence-based recommendations for management of a particular condition.
Guidelines are in place in order to achieve consistency within medical practice. They ensure patients obtain access to healthcare, receive the best available treatment, and achieve the best outcomes.
The content of the learning modules and educational material of the WSA is based as far and as closely as possible on international stroke guidelines, in particular those of the European Stroke Organisation and the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association.
