CME

How to get

  • In order to gain CME points from the learning modules, physicians MUST be registered with the WSA and log in when entering the learning module, if not already logged in.

  • Choose the learning module you wish to complete.

  • Either enter the online learning module or download the pdf file to read the material offline.

  • Each learning module is divided into learning objectives.

  • As you work through the module, you can use the self-assessment questions, which are interspersed with the text, to check on your knowledge. Please note that these questions are optional and do not contribute towards the final test.

  • At the end of each learning module is a final test, which must be completed online.

  • CME points are awarded on successful completion (≥80%) of the final test of a learning module.

  • There is no limit to the number of times a test can be attempted, but it is advisable to revise the relevant section(s) of the learning module before repeating the test.

  • In general, it is recommended that one CME point be awarded for an estimated learning time of one hour. The time for each learning module of the WSA has been independently assessed and the number of CME points achievable have been allocated accordingly.

  • Once the test has been successfully completed, this will be recorded in your personal CME tracker, and you will be able to print out your CME certificate to add to your personal records.

  • We give official WSO/WSA CME points based on international rules. and experience shows and we assume that local medical licensing boards and professional associations accept the CME points as part of further education requirements within the countries.
